Cinderella - Synopsis

cinderellaPoor Cinderella has given up. Stuck doing chores for her wicked stepmother, the Baroness, and two frightful stepsisters, Paris and Jade, in her father’s run-down mansion, Cinders is really struggling to find any meaning to her life, especially since her Dad, Baron Hardup, doesn’t seem to realise she exists anymore. With only the faithful family servant Buttons to keep her company, Cinderella cooks and cleans with a heavy heart.

But over in the palace, Prince Charming is organising a Royal Ball. More specifically, his servants, Dandini, Flunky and Junkie, are organising the Ball, as the Prince has real difficulty tying his own shoelaces. Invitations are sent throughout the Kingdom to find the most eligible maidens, in order to secure a bride for the young Prince.

The invitations, naturally, cause quite a stir in the Hardup household, with the Baroness planning to bag the Prince for one of her hideous daughters. Poor Cinders is left out of the proceedings and, resigned to her lot in life, reminisces over her time spent with Buttons, who after a successful trial at Manchester United, has moved away and left her on her own. But Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother has other ideas, and whisks her off to the ball, to meet her Prince.

Will everything go according to plan? What exactly is in Larry’s bucket? Is everything quite what it seems? Will the Prince and Cinders live happily ever after? Of course they will! It’s a traditional pantomime isn’t it? Isn’t it?
