Music Technology

music technologyMusic Technology has been running since 2005 and has a very high success rate for its students. Also, and more importantly, it’s lots and lots of fun.

If you are interested in recording and creating music then this is the course for you. You will study the NCFE Intermediate Certificate in Music Technology (NQF Level 2) which is the equivalent of 2 grade B’s at GCSE.

You will study the use of recording techniques such as multi-tracking and sequencing. You will also cover other areas such as health and safety, employment in the music industry, studio administration issues and how to produce a podcast.

There is no exam what so ever. Work is assessed by your teacher and as long as you have done it to the required standard you are guaranteed to pass.

The following grid shows a break down of topics covered in the five units that you study.
