Katie, Head Girl
I am honoured to have been selected as head girl at The Swinton High School. The school has made all of my achievements possible. It has given me opportunities that I don’t think I would have got elsewhere.
The performing arts status is well deserved as we have been able to raise pupils learning with fantastic facilities and dedicated staff. We also have a major production each year, which sells out each and every night. This years production is ‘We Will Rock You’.
I am very proud to be a part of The Swinton High School.
Terence, Head Boy
This year I have achieved the status of head boy, of which I am very proud. I really like the school, especially the range of extra-curricular activities that it offers, such as football, rugby and badminton.
There are not just physical activities to take part in, there are plenty of performing arts activities such as music. I have now learnt the guitar and will be performing in this years production of ‘We Will rock You’.
Since I have been at The Swinton High School, I have achieved a lot and learnt many new skills that I can take to my further education.

There are various aspects of school that I enjoy. There is time to socialise and hang out with your friends; but then there is time to spend in the classroom too, helping you to expand your knowledge.
We have a lot of choices in this school – not just for GCSE options but for extra-curricular activities as well. There is something for everyone, ranging from sports and dancing to debating and homework club.
I particularly enjoy my time here at The Swinton High School. Not just the fact that I get to see my friends every day, but I like the learning aspect too - as the classes are held in a relaxed atmosphere where the teachers are friendly and always willing to help.

I have been at The Swinton High School for nearly 3 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have lots of favourite subjects and teachers, which is great because I never get bored.
The teachers are great, and always try to make the lesson more interesting.
I will be taking my options this year and am very much looking forward to the next few years as I take my GCSE courses.

I have just finished my first year at The Swinton High School. I really like it here because it has got a nice, friendly atmosphere and people are generally very nice.
The teachers explain things properly when you don’t understand something and don’t mind you asking for help.
I would definitely recommend this school to others.

Even though I have only been at The Swinton High School a few weeks, I am really enjoying it. I have made lots of new friends, everyone is very friendly and the teachers are great too.
It can be a bit scary when you first get here, because we are the smallest in the school and it is quite a big place compared to our primary school, but you soon get used to it, although I do occasionally still get lost.
Overall though, I think that it is a good school to come to!
