The Swinton High School is currently recruiting for the following posts:

 

TEMPORARY TEACHER OF ART AND TEXTILES – CPS
(Maternity Cover)
Required for 2nd November 2009

Required for 2nd November 2009, a well-qualified teacher of art and textiles to teach in a highly successful and supportive Arts faculty of well-qualified staff.  This post offers an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified teacher to develop professionally and to contribute to future whole school improvement or for an experienced teacher seeking development opportunities.

The Swinton High School is popular with a rising pupil roll, one of the most improved schools in the country.  We are also due to begin our second phase status as a specialist school for the performing arts. Ofsted inspectors commented in May 2007:- “Specialist status has a noticeable impact in many areas”. Participation in extra curricular activities by an external assessor has recently found us to be outstanding.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed to teamwork and to ensuring that all our pupils reach their potential.

Science Technician - Grade F Point 11-19
All year round contract 36 hours per week
Required for 1st September 2009

Required for 1st September 2009, a Science Technician to join a highly successful and supportive Science faculty of well-qualified staff.  The duties include preparation of materials, assisting the science staff in setting up and trying out experiments, routine administration, maintenance and safety procedures.
